Teaching

With a strong background in medical image analysis and biostatistics, I have served as a teaching assistant for various courses at the Center for Biostatistics and Epidemiology at SFU Vienna. Additionally, I have actively participated as a trainer in numerous workshops and training sessions focused on soft skills and advocacy.

Teaching assistant positions #

I have the opportunity to serve as a Teaching Assistant for several courses at the Center for Biostatistics and Epidemiology at Sigmund Freud Privateuniversity Vienna, under the leadership of Univ.–Prof. Dr. rer. medic. Nicole Heussen. My roles in these courses have included facilitating interactive learning sessions, providing personalized support to students, and assisting in the development of course materials.

2024 - Present How to Retrieve a Paper (B1b - Skills Line Evidence Based Medicine & Public Health)

  • Focus: Problem-oriented methods for systematic literature searches to answer scientific questions.
  • Topics: Literature search methods Scientific databases Formulating research questions Search strategies Systematic reviews Research documentation
  • Objectives: Familiarize students with major medical databases like PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, and Google Scholar. Teach students to convert clinical problems into scientific questions using PICOS criteria. Develop students’ ability to create effective search strategies and conduct systematic literature searches independently.

2023 - Present SPSS Basics Course (B1b - Skills Line Evidence Based Medicine & Public Health)

  • Focus: Hands-on introduction to SPSS for basic statistical analysis
  • Topics: Data entry, import, modification descriptive statistics frequency tables correlation regression analysis
  • Objectives: Learn SPSS functionalities, conduct independent basic analyses

2022 - Present How to Read a Paper (B1e - Skills Line Evidence Based Medicine & Public Health)

  • Focus: Developing skills in evidence-based medicine through critical evaluation of scientific publications
  • Topics: Efficient literature search critical appraisal of sources understanding of evidence-based medical practices

  • Focus: Master the use of medical reporting guidelines for research analysis and publication.
  • Topics: Emphasis on evidence-based medical research Critical analysis of medical literature Application of CONSORT Reporting-Guidelines

At the Austrian Medical Students Association | AMSA, I’ve facilitated a variety of training sessions, focusing on essential skills for future medical professionals. These sessions have covered topics like effective campaigning strategies, external affairs basics, website management, conflict resolution, onboarding, member engagement and time management techniques.

I also have been facilitated trainings, sessions, mediating sessions at Austrian Students’ Union | ÖH and the Students’ Union at the Sigmund Freud Privateuniversity | ÖH SFU. Various sessions on student representation basics, campaigning, and quality assurance in education
