I am Dr. med. univ. Daniel Zeymer von Metnitz, an Ophthalmology resident and researcher at the University Eye Hospital Tübingen, where I specialize in medical image analysis, biostatistics, and digital health innovation. As a member of the Ueffing Lab, my research advances the understanding of retinal structures and their links to systemic diseases, with a focus on predictive modeling for conditions such as diabetes.

I possess strong technical skills essential for medical research and data science. I am proficient in Python and MATLAB, which I use for statistical modeling, data visualization, and implementing machine learning algorithms in my research. My expertise extends to R, SPSS, and GraphPad Prism for advanced data analysis and biostatistical workflows.
I regularly work with tools like NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, and scikit-learn for data preprocessing and predictive modeling, and I utilize TensorFlow and PyTorch for building and training neural networks. In image analysis, I leverage libraries such as OpenCV and SimpleITK to process and analyze medical imaging datasets, particularly retinal images.
For data management and collaboration, I am experienced in SQL, Jupyter Notebooks, and version control with Git.
