Welcome! I’m Dr. med. univ. Daniel Zeymer von Metnitz, a dedicated researcher with a focus on medical image analysis and biostatistics.

At the Ueffing Lab within the University of Tübingen, my research delves into the intricacies of retinal image analysis, contributing to the field with my ongoing work.

My academic journey is complemented by a dedication to teaching, where I serve as an assistant for several courses in biostatistics, sharing my knowledge and fostering learning among my peers.

My clinical experience spans prestigious institutions, including the University Hospital Zurich, Charité Berlin, and the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf, providing me with a robust foundation in medicine. Insights into my professional journey can be found in my CV.

Previously, I dedicated significant efforts to advocacy as the Vice-President for External Affairs of the IFMSA - International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations, where I championed health issues such as UHC, digital health, and the Sustainable Development Goals committed to advocating on behalf of over 1.5 million medical students worldwide. My work extended to the Austrian Medical Students’ Union and the Austrian Students’ Union. Having transitioned from Advocacy, I now fully focus on transforming healthcare through innovative research and technology. My current work is centered on developing cutting-edge solutions to improve healthcare delivery and outcomes.

When I find the time, I channel my creativity into web development and maintain a disciplined routine as a passionate runner.
